Dr. Paige Galt is proud to join Dawson County Schools as the next Principal at Dawson County Middle School commencing the 2022-2023 school year. Dr. Galt is thrilled to begin her 25th year in education and work
alongside the teachers, staff, parents, and community in creating the next chapter for DCMS. She is committed to ensuring that all students are engaged in a positive learning environment and are gaining the skills they need to be successful at Dawson County Junior High School.

Dr. Galt received a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language Education, a master’s degree in Spanish education, a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a doctoral degree in Leadership. Dr. Galt served as a
Spanish teacher in Cartersville City Schools, Carrollton City Schools, Coweta County Schools, and Forsyth County Schools. As a teacher, Dr. Galt also coached cheerleading, track and field, and sponsored numerous
clubs.

While in Forsyth County, she entered a leadership role as an Assistant Administrator before taking on her most recent position as Assistant Principal at Gainesville High School. Her educational experiences have afforded her the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being. Her educational philosophy is based on her uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong knowledgeable teachers, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community and a supportive family. She holds a belief that common interests in extra-curricululars helps support positive teacher-student relationships. She is married to Jason Galt, who is a football coach and girls’ soccer coach at West Forsyth High School. The couple have two children, Jackson, age 14 and Georgia, age 11.
