Assistant Principal, Josh Lipps

It is a blessing to be the assistant principal at DCMS. The teachers and staff here are hands down the most dedicated, caring, and supportive group that I have ever worked with. I’m honored to walk alongside them every day as they love and guide the students. The heart of our school remains true to our focus of academic excellence, differentiation, and rigor. I love Dawson because it is a community of educators and families dedicated to supporting each child in growing to their fullest potential.

I graduated from Muskingum University in Ohio. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Piedmont College and my Educational Specialist in Special Education from University of Georgia. Later, I got my leadership certification from University of North Georgia.

This will be my 15th year in education. The last 14 years I have worked with students with special needs starting in Gwinnett County Schools before moving to Forsyth. I have taught every grade level from 6th through 12th grade. For the last 3 years I have been blessed to be right here at DCMS!

Go Tigers!
